Title: NJ CHILD SUPPORT GUIDELINES
I was recently taken to court to have cs adjusted. Based on NJ guideline my support that I must pay was raised 50 per week bringing it to 200 per week. I have my child for 2 overinghts per week plus one weekend overnight per month. Mom is now not working but this was based on last years income which was substatialy less than previous years. I cant afford to live! What can I do. I asked the judge to reconsider and he stated he goes by the NJ guidelines??//

I feel for you! When are Dads going to start standing up. I feel sorry for myself sometimes, but not that much anymore. I have paid for almost 12 yrs. I have given my ex more than $110k. I am behind due to slow work and now I'm looking at back surgery. I moved to N.C. 2yrs ago from N.Y. My ex moved down 6 mths. later. I can not get N.C. to hear a modification untill I get the state to adopt the case from N.Y. I have researched and I will need A lawyer because ther is no precedent for this. Meanwhile I run in the arrears untill I can get the modification filed after the case is moved. I plan on liquidating my 401k. getting caught up, and then going to jail. The state will have to pay for my operation. My new wife and I are expecting a child. She and I will have to get divorced and she can collect welfare. My ex does and is proud of how she beats "the systems". I think I will just let the system screw itself for a while. This sounds sad but I don't have the resources to fight the battle anymore. I wonder about all the "MOMS" out there who know they are sponging off "DAD" When the years go by, is this how you want our sons to be treated. Maybe you will get a daughter-in-law that treats you with disregard like you have treated your children's Father. I am having a daughter this spring with a good lady. I hate this situation for her,my new daughterand my two sons from my first marriage. I hate I have tobe this way. What do we do to help our children? Do our sons have to suffer this bias treatment? I don't want my daughter growing up to feel she has a right to be as greedy as the Family Courts tell her she should be. God save America.

Its all for the kids dude LOL. Least thats what they tell you-lawyers,mediators,et al. Man it dont matter about your economics if your noncustodial. We are the new oppressed discriminated against group of our time. And guess what? You can be Pope John Paul and the law will look at you like you owe your blood to the system. Yes there is a system. Go through a divorce as a noncustodial and tell me you feel great. lol The ex(typically the mom) hits the lottery, lawyers make a crap load, and judges just do their boring job churning the mill of divorce court. They say its about the kids but how is economically paralyzing a noncustodial who is directly vested with the children helping anyone? These elitist privledged professionals dont feed our kids, clothe them ,raise them, they are desensitized to us all. Hell we are giving them a career with our failed marriages. lol id like to be a fly on the wall and see my judge or lawyer go through a divorce and see if they like their own medicine. i forgot to mention the lawmakers who write up this uncreative garbage. And in the end its our fault. We failed our marriage and sat by allowing knuckleheads to author lopsided loopholed laws. They say over half of marriages fail. Who wrote the divorce/custody laws? The other half lol?

We just found out that they did not calculate my other daughter as other dependant. Does that change things? This is so confusing and frusterating.

I showed the court a discrepency of 30,000 dollars from what mom said she made based on tax records and what she says she spends based on case information statement, but they say that is not proff enough???

There is not much you can do if the amount set was based on the state guidelines. You could try to imoute more income to mom even if she is not working, but don't know if that would make a difference. Also, since you have just been before a judge on this, you probably need some time to pass and a significant change in circumstances before you can go back and get this reassessed. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
